We will say more about this next week, but today we note that God’s sustaining providence means that every created thing depends on something outside itself for its origin and continuation. This something is God. God inspired the book of Amos so that in this end time His people, surrounded by materialism and worldly distractions unparalleled in human history, would not follow Israel's example. In this booklet we will look into Israel's example, noting where it applies to our nations, the church and us as individuals. Reviewing a book about missions by Chris Wright makes me feel a little like a grown-up Pinocchio writing a critique of Geppetto’s toy-making skills. Chris was very much involved in introducing me to the mission of God and to the God of mission when he served as a curate in my parents’ church when I was between the ages of 3 and 9.

But the God of Moses, the God of the Bible, the God of Genesis, is a God of justice and mercy, and those things are held without tension in God. Notice also in the book of Genesis, God is self-revealed. The God of Genesis isn't found out by men reflecting about the nature of things and postulating Him.   Today we are looking at Ecclessiates 3rd Chapter. This is a book full of the wisdom of Solomon! Solomon's conclusion in this chapter is to do something that you love, which is God.   If they did, they would begin to fall away from God and they would be punished and God would bring many disasters upon them. This is exactly what happened. As Christians we must obey all that God has said in His word. The result of Israel’s faithlessness is proof that God .   A surprisingly fascinating book explains why. In fact, while some conservative Christians speak about Trump’s defeat of Hillary Clinton as the work of God, it seems the real divine intercession.

Remember that our first task is to have delight in God’s presence. But that can’t be done in a day or two; it can only be developed by a daily walk with God. Begin to meet with Him today and you will be grateful you did in the days to come. Since time itself began at the moment of the Big Bang, it was an event that could not have been caused or created by anyone or anything. So when people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the Big Bang, so there is no time for God to make the universe in. Principle Two: All of us sin and our sin has separated us from God. We sense that separation, that distance from God because of our sin. The Bible tells us that “All of us like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way.” 2 Deep down, our attitude may be one of active rebellion or passive indifference toward God and his ways, but it’s all evidence of what the Bible.   In this step, we'll see what the text looks like under a microscope, as we begin breaking it down. Using a Bible dictionary, look up the meaning of the word living in the original language. It is the Greek word 'Zaõ' meaning, "not only living but causing to live, vivifying, quickening." You start to see a deeper meaning: "God's Word causes life to come about; it quickens.".
